Grass Valley, California USA -- Solar Energy International continues its nationwide solar training reach this month with PV101 April 23-27 at KACO new energy in Grass Valley, California.
PV101: Solar Electric Design and Installation (Grid-Direct) is an hands-on workshop that provides an overview of the three basic PV system applications, primarily focusing on grid-direct systems, at KACO new energy's Grass Valley facility. The workshop also teaches students the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning. PV101 covers the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding – all of which will be expanded upon in SEI's PV202: Advanced PV System Design and the NEC (Grid-Direct) course, being offered in-person May 7-11 in Boston and online May 21-July 1.
